Shelton Tucker is an expert in restructuring financial operations specializing in developing the financial strategy and infrastructure that is aligned with the firm’s long term business strategy. In addition, Mr. Tucker has raised funds for his clients by preparing financial section of business plans and private placement memorandum. Due to his expertise in domestic and international finance, Mr. Tucker also assists his clients in financial engineering as it relates to complex currency, cash management and trade finance situations. With over 20 years of financial experience Shelton Tucker has held various leadership positions with major corporations such as State Farm Insurance, First Chicago Corporation, The Coca-Cola Company and RadioShack Corporation. He has over 10 years of experience in international corporate finance in Europe and Africa. He’s led the corporate finance department at First Chicago’s London regional office as VP of Corporate Financial Services. In London, was responsible for structuring M&A and private placement transactions for US companies in manufacturing or distribution business entities in Europe. With up to $100 Million credit signing authority, and oversight of finance equity management professionals which generated $1.5B in M&A transactions in UK, France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Through his banking career he’s developed an expertise in financial derivatives and structuring complex transactions requiring knowledge of international accounting standards, taxation and foreign currency issues. While at Coca-Cola, he held various financial leadership positions including Corporate Business Development Manager, Divisional Controller for Coca-Cola Southern Africa Region in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Global Marketing Finance Manager. As Corporate Business Development Manager, and was responsible for all of the joint ventures and restructuring of Coca-Cola businesses and bottling operations in sub-Sahara Africa. He acted in the capacity of chief architect and led all financial aspects of Coke’s South Africa re-entry strategy which included establishing the first black South African owned bottling franchise. In addition, he structured, executed and project managed various multimillion dollar deals in 16 countries in Africa. As acting financial Liaison for South Afiras Coca-Cola enterprise South Afiras he interfaced between heads of state, various government entities (i.e. World Bank, IMF) and private investors in structuring various business transactions and has negotiated of numerous international transactions that resulted in creating profitability and shareholder value. As an expatriate in the UK, he was the originator and became the catalyst behind the joint venture of the NBMBAA and the African & Caribbean Finance Forum (ACFF), two of the leading business organizations in their respective countries. Education and Personal Information: Mr. Tucker received a BS degree in Healthcare Administration & Planning from Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College. He received an MBA in Finance from Clark Atlanta University and successfully completed the prestigious First Chicago Corporate Financial Banking School program which included courses from leading profession from Harvard (Michael Porter), University of Chicago (Stern Stewart – Economic Value Added) and Northwestern University (Al Rappaport –Value Based Management).
